If you have been involved in a road traffic accident that was not your fault you are entitled by law to claim for personal injury compensation. And so you should be – you have been the victim in an accident and it was someone else’s negligent actions that have caused your injuries, it would be daft to say you were not entitled to claim! With the right specialist personal injury solicitor you can achieve your maximum compensation payout. Here at Whiplash Claims we specialise in whiplash personal injury claims and we work hard for you to ensure you get the maximum compensation that you deserve.
But how much compensation are you entitled to have? This can only be properly answered once your expert solicitor (like us) has obtained expert medical evidence from an independent medical consultant. In order to obtain this all you have to do is attend a medical appointment; this is nothing to worry about as it is simply an appointment to examine your injuries and for the medical consultant to ask a few questions about how you have been affected after the accident. This is the only bit of work we will ask you to do – as Whiplash Claims Solicitors we will do all the rest of the hard work to make sure you get the maximum amount of compensation that you deserve!
So, once we have the vital medical evidence we are able to assess the value of your compensation claim. But how exactly can we do that? The Judicial Studies Board (JSB) Guidelines provide guidance and places injuries into brackets for the purposes of valuing whiplash claims. We will assess your injuries from what the medical evidence says and place your injuries into one of the brackets below in order to value your claim. But, please note this is only guidance, and here at Whiplash Claims we always aim to get you the maximum amount of compensation that you deserve.
The Judicial Studies Board Guidelines provides the following guidance:
Minor Whiplash Injuries
These are generally worth between £1,000 and £5,000 roughly.
Moderate Whiplash Injuries
If you have moderate whiplash injuries the JSB guidelines state that your compensation can be worth between £5,000 and £15,000
If your medical evidence states that you have severe whiplash your compensation could be worth up to £80,000! But please note that that this sum is for people who have suffered after extremely serious accidents.
Remember that these figures are for guidance only and do not also include compensation for any other losses that you may have as result of your accident (such losses may include loss of earnings, travel expenses or medication.) It is also important to remember that the value of your personal injury claim will be dependent on the nature and extent of your injuries, your circumstances at the time of your accident, and any financial losses you have incurred. Each case will be different and the only way you can get the maximum amount of compensation is to seek expert legal advice from independent solicitors like us.
